The scene: New buyer clients and I are sitting in front of the big screen at our office, looking through listings, searching for their new home. It’s so exciting! We click a link, pull up the photos, and … we all squint and lean forward. What is that?!
It’s quite frequent the buyers and I are surprised and confused by the terrible photos of a brand new listing we’re viewing online. Are the finishes nice? What color are the walls? Is that a huge stain on the carpet or just a shadow? They said in the description there is a view, where is it? Is that a man sitting in the easy chair? Is he still alive?
Dark photos, blurry photos, photos of dirty rooms, photos with cars in the driveway, flash reflections, fisheye photos, sets of photos that don't include every room, photos that are too bright, photos of toilets, photos of people in mirrors, and photos of nothing in particular. We've seen it all!
In today's technology-driven world, nearly all searching for a home starts online. Because of this, photography matters. Photographs are the first impression of your house and set the tone for what a buyer may think about the home at the first showing. Poor-quality photos will keep buyers from coming to your home. Professional photographs spark interest and engage the buyer before they even see the home in person. We want them to fall in love with your home before they arrive! Why settle for anything less than a great first impression of your home?
Because of cost, lack of experience, or other reasons, some agents don’t provide professional photography for their clients. At Jill Giese & Associates, we insist on amazing photographs! This is why we always have our professional photographer, Tony Moody of Moody Images, capture beautiful images of every listing to ensure the best marketing possible to help get your home sold. Call us at (208) 327-2127 to see what else we do that other agents don’t!
